Kristóf Tóth | Balance
2025. June 19. - July 20.
Our gallery is pleased to present Kristóf Tóth’s latest exhibition, entitled “Balance”, which provides a comprehensive insight into the unique, dynamic world of the young Hungarian sculptor. The title idea of the exhibition refers not only to a specific work, but permeates his entire oeuvre: the search for physical and spiritual balance on the border between form and movement, mass and airy lightness. In Kristóf Tóth’s works, the classical sculptural tradition meets contemporary formal sensitivity. His works made of bronze and granite are clean, yet extremely expressive – behind the bodies and gestures there is always an inner movement, a thought, a feeling, while the tightness and posture of the bodies are the embodiment of inner strength. Capturing the moment of movement, condensing momentum into a sculpture is one of Tóth’s main aspirations: whether it is about musical hands, the dynamics of athletes, animal figures or allegorical female figures. “Harpist”, for example, plays with the evocation of invisible sound, while “Justitia” reinterprets classical iconography – with a delicate sense of proportion and a modern, almost cubist use of form.In the sculpture titled “Balance”, the joint movement of two figures expresses the deepest human connection: trust and mutual support.
In Kristóf Tóth’s works, geometric order and organic flow are simultaneously present. His sculptures do not merely depict, but create relationships – between body and space, man and nature, past and present. The “Balance” exhibition not only presents the artist’s technical knowledge, but also the sensitive attention with which he reflects on the small vibrations of the world.
Visitors to the exhibition, which is combined with the sale, can enter a sculptural universe where weight and levitation, movement and calm are arranged in a common arc. “Balance” – in this interpretation – is not just a sculptural question, but a human state of being, an invitation to search for inner harmony.
