The most outstanding result was the hammer price and intense bidding battle for Lot 51, Mihály MUNKÁCSY’s work “Study for the "Condemned »»” .Its final selling price set a new world record among the artist’s charcoal drawings: starting at 850,000 Forints, after long bidding it finally sold for 6,500,000 Forints (+18% buyer’s premium). Congratulations to the new owner!

Also achieving a remarkable increase was Mihály MUNKÁCSY’s handwritten letter in German with a self-portrait (Lot 61), which rose from 210,000 Forints to 1,200,000 Forints (+18% buyer’s premium).
