Gyula Pauer, was born in 1941 in Budapest and died in 2012 in his hometown. He was sculptor, conceptual and performance artist, visual designer, costume designer, Kossuth Prize awarded artist, one of the outstanding personality of the Hungarian neoavantgarde and also known as an actor. He has published his works since 1966. As the designer of the theaters and film and also the creator for public works he has always played roll and was measured in public. He always provoked the occasions, whether he presented his works in connection with the performance to a theater scene or to a the filmshooting. He also often measured his works with contemporary hungarian and foreign artists in Hungarian and foreign galleries also (for example, Musée d'Art Moderne, Paris; The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; Olympic Park, Seoul; several museums in Austria, USA). His works are also preserved by prominent Hungarian and foreign museums, without any completeness: St. Stephen's King Museum, Székesfehérvár(HU); Janus Pannonius Museum, Pécs(HU); Hungarian National Gallery; János Xántus Museum, Győr (HU); MMK / Stiftung Ludwig Vienna; Szczecin, Poland.
